Thinking Green

Thinking Green 1With summer officially drawing to a close, I’m feeling…and thinking…green. Not sure why. Perhaps with all the lushness of summer peaked out here in Pennsylvania, and that essence in the air that still feels and smells green, but with an edge of change just around the corner, my green inspiration caresses me. Love this room with emerald green walls, white furniture, and tones of gray to set is all off. An elegant thinking green room for any apartment.

thinking greenGreen can be soft and stately in any apartment bedroom. Love the stripe in green and white combo.

thinking greenWhen thinking green for your apartment or home, the kitchen is an awesome place to enjoy this color. This soft sage speaks of seasonal delights and can be highlighted with any choice of stand-out color, like the feature red here. This makes my green inspiration of late summer feeling like it’s about to fall.  🙂

Crazy for Green!

Maybe because it’s St. Patrick’s Day!

Red Decor and Green Decor

In keeping with the holiday season I’ve searched for red decor and green decor ideas, not just for Christmas, but for everyday. I couldn’t pass up this Christmas setting however from Plan a Kitchen.  Love those giant red stars and snowflakes hanging around. The red and white mantle is stunning.

Lovely for every day, without a Christmas-y feel. Red duvet over a soft green quilted bedspread. Bringing the green to the walls with nature pictures is a great idea.  The contrasting gray walls and white highlights bring it all together. This bedroom idea was found at She Knows.

And now for green:

One can find red decor and green decor ideas inspiring and refreshing when considering decorating your apartment for the holidays or any time of year.

Feeling a Bit Green

Feeling a bit green today…not sure why. Maybe with the sun shining a bit in the office window lighting up the fichus tree and the fern below it casting strange and beautiful shadows on the floor and a glow of fresh green into the room…maybe that’s the reason. It’s almost spring-like. Anyway, feeling a bit green and found some lovely green decor to share today. Happy Monday! (uh, is there such a thing?) Green bathroom via Kagozi.com

Bright and green. This modern living room seals the deal. Home Decor Arcade

You can’t go wrong with green in a kids room. The options are endless. Love this modern kid’s room design via House Maintain

I’ve had green in my kitchen, but nothing like this. Pale green with pale blue and ivory. The sky ceiling is to die for. Image by Carrie Russel for Washington Spaces, an online magazine that is out of business now, unfortunately.

Hope your feeling a bit green now, and that it’s a good thing.

Feeling Green…

With spring just around the corner…we think…we are feeling green today and have found some cool ideas for your Bethlehem apartment.  With snow still on the ground in Pennsylvania, this may be a refreshing change of view. We hope so…Love this hip modern living room with lime green walls and accent pieces.  The pillows are gorgeous, and the chairs quite chic.  Found at Lime Light Interiors.ca.

Donna Karan’s  Floral Valley Bedding collection is just right or a green touch to your Bethlehem apartment bedroom.

We find this sage green kitchen refreshing and soothing.  Note the palm plant near the window which adds interest and highlights the empty space. Take some of the hints here to highlight your own kitchen in your Bethlehem apartment.

A clock is always essential in your living space and this smart green find we think is precious…for good reason.  We found this Green dots wall wooden wall clock at The Frog and the Princess….it may be kids stuff, but who will know if they find this in your Bethlehem apartment.

Okay, so I couldn’t resist this one. Having once lived in an apartment that was in an older house, we had antique glass door knobs like these on all the doors, though they were clear white glass.  Found these green depression glass handles at Remodelista.com.

The bathroom is perhaps the coolest place to add a touch of green. Green is a relaxing color, soothes emotions, and steadies heart rhythms.  Green is the color of the heart chakra center. Decorating your Bethlehem apartment bathroom with accessories that feature some green tones, like these from DKNY, will give a subtle hint of this relaxing color.

We love the soft green colors in this Tiffany-style lamp.  The one sitting on my desk right now has the same base. We found this beauty for your Bethlehem apartment at Glassical.com.Artwork is always the final touch to your new apartment.  This green-toned oil on canvas is called Green Agave by Rhonda Raulston.  This would be a nice final touch to any open wall space in your Bethlehem apartment.
